Game 2.5 Recap
Baseball isnt fun in the cold. This is why I hate playing in April. That and the rain.
The 2 innings of the first game were uneventful. We added an extra run to win 12-9.
We got out to an early 3-0 lead on some wild pitches. We only had one RBI in the whole game.
Heading into the 6th we had a 4-1 lead then after one batter Jon got hurt and sent us into a little mid inning scramble for a new pitcher.
Going in cold let them tie the game at 4.
We were able to get the tying run to 3rd in the 7th then a grounder to the pitcher cut the runner off, but the batter got to 2nd. Then the tying run again got to 3rd on a wild pitch the game ended on a strikeout for a 4-4 tie.
Even though we did tie this one felt like a loss. We had it. In retrospect as we got to the 6th inning I probably should have had someone at least ready to throw. Whether that be me at least playing catch or one of the potential bullpen arms. But hard to expect injury.
The weather wont be much warmer when we play the Ducks Wednesday, so dress warm.
